The Adventure Begins

So I figured I should do a post before I left the country, especially since I have a couple hours to wait in the airport lounge. I must say, I am amazed at the number of people that miss, or at least need to be called to the gate after all other passengers have been boarded. Especially since they already went through security and are like right there.

But for myself, after many tears, struggles, relief, and whatnot I made it on my way. Only forgot two things too (I hope). My first stop was in Calgary for the night which was awesome since I got to stay with the Smiths before heading out the next afternoon. I was brought to Sneak-a-Peak? to watch the fireworks show (which I like to think is in celebration of my upcoming adventure). Definitely much fancier than the fireworks on July 1st at Prospect Campground.

The next morning we went for a free pancake breakfast, which was surprisingly good, before heading to the Stampede opening parade, lots of horses for some reason. . Unfortunately it was at this time that I figured out how to clear the memory card on my camera completely.

All in all, a good start to my trip. Next stop, Hawaii.
